The British boxer is set to fight the American YouTuber in an eight-round contest which will be streamed in real-time on Netflix.
British boxer Anthony Joshua said he will "overwhelm entirely" Jake Paul and "overpower" the American as the two fighters came face-to-face to build hype for the upcoming bout.
Former two-time unified heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua battles YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, theoretically, a huge disparity - at Miami's venue on December 19th.
Fighter's Mentality
"I will break his face and hurt his body. I aim to demonstrate I'm superior," the British boxer, 35 years old, said.
"I will dominate him completely. That's a fighter's mentality.
"I'm going to really want to hurt him. That's my intention."
Civil Exchange
In spite of these statements, a composed Anthony Joshua and internet personality Paul - normally known for his theatrics - exchanged pleasantries and remained civil with each other.
Paul instead criticized ex Joshua's opponent Francis Ngannou and labeled him "ridiculous" after Ngannou turned down a fight offer.
Targeting Tyson Fury
Joshua, at the same time, criticized UK rival Tyson Fury - and rejected a million-pound wager 'The Gypsy King' says he will place on a Paul victory.
"Jake Paul is better than Tyson Fury - he showed up," Joshua said.
"I give him credit for that."
Legitimate Fighter
In spite of saying he intends to damage his opponent, Joshua chose not to speak negatively about his opponent's fighting skills.
"Jake is a legitimate boxer," he stated.
Jake Paul's History
Paul - who first rose to fame on the television network - has primarily fought mixed martial artists or declining opponents since entering professional boxing.
He was defeated by British fighter Tommy Fury in 2023.
Commercial Attraction
Still, the novice remains one of boxing's greatest commercial attractions, frequently receiving huge paydays.
Forecast and Confidence
The 28-year-old anticipated a KO victory in round four or five and asserted he would prevent the highly-expected Fury-Joshua bout, which is allegedly under discussion for two years from now.
"The next fight will be me versus Tyson Fury in the coming year," Paul declared.
Physical Disparity
As both boxers participated in the traditional stare-down, with their physical disparity clearly visible, it highlighted just how surprising this whole event is - and how amazing it is that the match is actually happening.
